Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did so. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.

What I read

Traveling

Picture
Being able to see something as natural and raw as the Grand Canyon all the way to polished art in the Musée du Louvre are a few reasons why I absolutely love traveling.  Not only that, but the people you meet, foods you eat, trails that you hike and the smells you take in make any and all trips worth while.

Aerospace Engineering

Picture
To me, it is so awe inspiring to see flight in action.  Being able to overcome gravity and send thousands of pounds at hundreds of miles of an hour around and out of our atmosphere is amazing.  If we went back 150 years and told people we would have metal machines that were capable of doing things that they are doing now, no one would have ever believed you.  This is why the aerospace field has always been inspiration to me, and helped draw me into engineering.

Sustainability

Picture
I personally define sustainability as one's ability to sustain a process given a limited amount of resources.  To me, I see sustainability as the biggest issue facing our generation, as we have to begin to see the impact that we have on our world as "distance is now dead".  Sustainability for me is tied directly in with the environmental movement, as us humans have a set amount of resources that which we can use, and the current methods that we use them are very inefficient.  If we can start to squeeze more out of the current systems that we use, and make things cleaner and less polluting, we can help sustain our process of living on our planet which contains limited resources.

Media: Film, Photography, Music, and Literature

Picture
I love watching the latest movies, reading the latest books, jamming out to some classic rock or snapping mini-memories with a photograph.  It's amazing to see how fast the technology moves these different media platforms, and we still feel the same raw emotions delivered.
